Should you Pay Per Click?

Commonly refered to as PPC among the savy net marketers. If you have been promoting online for any length of time you have got probably seen PPC eat up your advertising bucks with little or no results.

You analysis and opt for the hottest keywords, then burn through your daily budget in an hour with no sales. The parable that mega traffic produces mega profits is just that. A myth.

Traffic is great. Traffic improves your search engine ranking. It increases word of mouth advertising. Traffic gets you more traffic, however when you are paying a reasonably penny for each and every click you wish sales.

You may bear in mind the class action law suit against Google. A group of businesses sued Google claiming the company didn’t do enough to prevent click fraud therefore they lost cash in their PPC campaigns.

In my but humble opinion, click fraud wasn’t the culprit. For those that don’t grasp, click fraud is when someone who publishes Google Adsense ads clicks on ads on their own sight to make money with no intention of getting the merchandise advertised.

As I said, in my opinion click fraud was not the culprit. It had been badly chosen keyword phrases. Directions on how to decide on and bid on keyword phrases are offered on the PPC sites thus I won’t go into the mechanics of bidding.

The necessary thing is, if you chose the most well-liked keyword your ad will show up in lots maybe even thousands of searches an hour. This suggests you may recieve hundreds perhaps even thousands of clicks a day.

Mega traffic right? For instants. If you’re selling hand painted porceliain piggy banks and you bid on the keyword “bank”. Who can see your ad and probably click on it? Individuals wanting for online banking, people trying for a rock band called “Bank”, youngsters writing a report for school on the bankiong industry. In different words, folks who do not wish what you’re selling.

They can click on your ad while not reading the entire thing and go “This is not what I want.” and hit the back button. Remember, it price you money for them to click. It costs them nothing, thus folks aren’t careful concerning what they click on.

Choose your phrase carefully. You would like clicks from guests who are trying to shop for what you’re selling. Target your phrase. Bid on “porceliain hand painted piggy banks” if that is what you are selling. People who do broad searches are just looking. Folks who target their searches are looking to buy.

Will you get less traffic? Yes. Will you create more sales? Perhaps, relying on your product, how straightforward your website is to navigate, your costs, etc, etc…

The purpose is, with PPC, looky loos value you money. Save the foremost standard keywords for your free traffic sources. Target your PPC so that only mastercard in hand patrons click your ads.
