If you are an internet marketer or online business owner you will know the benefits that come from ranking high on Google and other search engines. In order to do this you need to implement SEO which involves optimising your pages for keywords and building effective relevant links back to your pages.

If you know nothing about seearch engine optimisation then I recommend reading a good seo blog and practising your the techniques on a free blog before implementing them on your main site.

If you have had a site a while you may already rank on the first page of Google for some keywords, this article is going to teach you how to attract more clicks on those listings without actually increasing your ranking position.

Google analytics is the best place to begin, see which keywords are pushing traffic your way then check the ranking on those keywords. If you are in a mid page position you should look for another page on your site that is also relevant to the keyword you have selected. Link back to the new page from the indexed page using the keyword you are targeting, this will help create a double listing and make your site more attractive to searches.

Another very simple way of increasing the traffic you receive on a given keyword is by effectively optimising your meta descrition tag. Whe you use your keywords in the description tag your keywords will be bolded when anyone searches on them, this again makes your site stand out and become more attractive, therefore increasing the click through rate.

Implementing these two simple SEO strategies is a quick and easy way of increasing organic traffic to your site. Once you have implemented the above move onto link building and target new phrases inorder to increase traffic further.
