You have to look at quite a few things when you decide to design a landing page for your advertisements; it’s not unlike making a pay per click ad in that the template is important. This essay will outline what you need to look for in the best landing page designs, and how you should design it for maximum effect.

What sort of color scheme do you hold in mind? Make sure it has a white or paler color background behind black text, or some varying darker color. This should make your landing page greatly easier to read. You’ll find this amazing on landing pages that have large amounts of words. These outlines may be bent if you are putting more pictures in than text, but a lighter background with dark text is a good failsafe for your landing page either way.

When figuring out what your customers will notice first, work on the top 600 pixels first. “Above the fold” is a saying that indicates this area of the page. It’s the first part your visitors will see when they visit. Don’t aim to make it flashy, with large images and menus; this could only serve to distract the visitor. Make sure you catch visitors’ eye in those top 600 pixels, so you can keep them there. Put some kind of beckoning to action or huge announcement on the top. It can have some kind of connection to whatever linked them to your landing page in the first place, be it text or intent.

Make sure the headline is also correctly sized and styled. You can make sure that the font is present on your their computer, so basic ones that everyone has, like Verdana, Arial, or Times New Roman are ideal, as is the 12 point font size. You should really move it up to a 14 point if you like. Emphasize key phrases or special words in the sentence with bolding or capitalization, but don’t do that to the complete sentence or risk losing its effect.

It’s also incredibly important to have a simple landing page template that will last a long time. While it seems like common sense to utilize one, it doesn’t do you any good to learn a complicated programming language when an easier one will suffice as well. WordPress or HTML based templates are wonderful, as you may quickly edit and tweak them to suit your needs. You’ll have several examples available to you in terms of templates, such as sales processes and tracking systems. Keep reading until you find a template that works the nicest for your business!
