Open Directory Project (ODP) is open content directory from directory.mozilla.org. This was its original domain name too. As the name indicates, it is maintained and developed by group of volunteer developers and editors. It is also known as DMOZ. DMOZ, uses hierarchical ontology for listing sites and also has been in the market from last 10 years. That’s the very logical reason to justify the need of making your website listed in DMOZ.
