What You Need to Know About AdSense Ready Websites

If you have seen the ads or emails promoting “AdSense ready websites” or “ready made websites” and are wondering if they can really work, it is important to understand how duplicate content is regarded by the search engines. If a website is just one of many copies it will never be given the importance needed by the search engines to get enough traffic to make money from AdSense or any type of web page advertising.

Because it is so easy to add AdSense ad units to any type of website the definition of what constitutes an AdSense ready website is very broad. There are a variety of sizes and styles of AdSense ads including text ads, image ads, animated ads, and link units that will fit into any website layout. There are ad sizes that fit well just about anywhere including under the page logo, in the navigation bar, in the body text, or just above the footer of the page. Of course AdSense ads should be placed in the path of your visitors’ eye on the page, so they need to be near the key visual elements.

An “AdSense ready website” is, in the best sense, a website infrastructure that can be up and running quickly and is ready to have the content added. Content includes headings, body text, page titles, images & hyperlinks. The AdSense ads should already be incorporated into the design and the website should be easy to manage including search engine optimization, automatic navigation structure, and content management system.

You could buy a ready-made HTML website template with AdSense ads built in, but this will probably not save you much time because it would still require a lot of work to create the individual pages and navigation for them.

The most efficient solution is a blog-style site such as a ready made WordPress template. You can easily add AdSense to almost any Wordpress or blog template using an AdSense plugin extension or use one of the many many free blog templates that have AdSense already built in.

While there are effective shortcuts to creating a website design, it is essential that any website expected to draw traffic and make money from ads be comprised of original content.
